The Nekemte coffee region in Western Ethiopia is a rich forest environment. The coffee has a fruity, spicy, honey like flavor profile with elongated “long berry” beans. Grown using traditional, organic, shade-grown polyculture systems and natural processing methods, this region is known for its endemic coffee varieties like Sende, Challa, and Manasibu.
