The Jimma coffee region in Ethiopia encompasses a 1.1 million hectare area with 0.1 million hectares dedicated to coffee. This zone is classified agro-ecologically into highland, midland, and lowland areas, suitable for high-yield coffee production with the application of technical efficiency and extension services, contributing significantly young farmers of the area and to the local economy.
